Coming from a digital media art background, I maintain the habit of visiting different digital exhibitions and being curious about the rationale behind the causes of good user experiences.
The most impressive experience I had among all was from visiting Bruce Munro's Lightfield at Sensorio. The process of being inside the installation was simply therapeutic. I remember observing tourists walked in with exhausted faces (due to long travel) but walked out with revived smiles. Even though the installation was not touchable, I felt like I've touched it a million times. Even though the installation had no scent at all, I felt like I smelled something sweet and warm in the air. Even though the whole experience was just a short two hours, but it will always remain vivid in my memory. That's when the idea of "user experience" was first rooted in my mind. The idea was so irresistible that I finally had to learn the knowledge and acquire the skills in user experience design.
Feeling inspired by Bruce Munro, I want to create designs that are breathable, therapeutic, and memorable.
